Rosalie began her own graphic design business, RH graphx, when she moved to Albuquerque NM in 1995. Her studio has been providing visual communication for over 20 years to clients from small start-ups to large businesses in a variety of industries: including high-technology, high-end retailers and jewelers, medical practitioners, government agencies, art galleries, museums and not-for-profit art and cultural organizations.
She started her artistic career studying calligraphy and watercolor in apprenticeship under the renowned master Lu Nian Sai in Shanghai, China, and then moved to Miami Florida where she studied design. Her inspiration has always come from her many travels all over the world. In looking for her next creative endeavor, ceramic seemed a great fit for her design talent. Her potteries are all hand build, there are imperfections here and there, some intentional and some embraced as she believes and practices the Wabi Sabi concept of design in which imperfections add beauty. She loves the surprise that each piece offers her to work with. Texture, layers, subtle colors and stains give each piece an unique appearance, adding dimension and depth. |
