Sandy’s life has been filled with a love of nature, plants, animals, water and light, giving credence to her theme “Follow the light.”
Sandy worked for the City of Albuquerque Parks & Recreation Department as a landscape architect and administrator for 30 years. While working at the City she managed the development and operations of Balloon Fiesta Park for 25 years. She was also instrumental in developing many beautiful parks throughout the City. After retiring in 2012, she rediscovered her passion for art and pottery. Sandy frequently travels to the ocean, jungle, beautiful cities and the outdoors - traveling always provides her with new inspiration in her craft. When at home in Albuquerque, her family gives her the roots of her life. Stoneware pottery creations for the kitchen are oven and dishwasher safe. Sandy's art is created on the wheel and by hand building. |
